Broccoli Salad

On my supermarket visit last week, I picked up a little bit of broccoli. All of us love broccoli, but it's not easily available near my house. So when I saw some at the super market I immediately grabbed it to make a quick stir fry.

Ingredients:

1 cup of broccoli florets

1/2 cup carrots sliced

1/2 cup capsicum diced

2 sprigs of spring onions greens and white.

2-3 garlic cloves, finely

Quick Mushroom salad recipe

I made this yummy salad just on a whim the other day. The mushrooms had been in the fridge for long enough to start growing their own fungus and I had to do something with them. Searched a lot of recipes online but almost every recipe had one or two ingredients which I didn’t have. So last minute this happened:

Splashed some 1 tsp of olive oil in a pan, added the French beans, let them sauté

Tabbouleh Salad

Have I told you how much I love Lebanese/ middle eastern food. I was first introduced to the cuisine here in mumbai itself, at a small restaurant called Piccadilly in Colaba, I instantly liked the falafel and shawarma and slightly spiced lebanese rice. But I really fell in love with the food on my trip to Egypt way back in 2007. How could I not? Sitting at a beautiful restaurant on top of a

Minty Chickpea salad

I am getting forgetful these
days. Wonder if it has anything to do with the impending 31st
birthday. Lol, just kidding. Isn’t the 30’s the new 20’s these days?

But the truth is that my
forgetfulness stems from the fact that I am trying to juggle so many things at
the same time. Of course I have the bragging rights, that I am a full time
working mom who manages work, a toddler, the house,

Rainbow Salad

This is the salad I brought along with my lunch today.

Isn't it just pretty? { keeping in mind the limitations of my blackberry camera}

And as it turns out eating something colourful and pretty is actually very good for you. It is known as 'Colour Diet'. All it basically says is that you should eat a variety of fruits and veggies. Whether it really helps in weight loss, is something I

Paneer Pesto wrap

I am all for quick, easy and tasty food. Of course I also spend hours labouring over a elaborate meal for special occasions, but on weekdays I want something mess free and fast. This recipe is one of those. The measurement in the recipe makes enough to be eaten as a salad all by itself or two wraps if you wish to go that way.

A quick fix 'Hearty' Salad

Does your fridge get swamped by
leftovers every now and then? A little bit of this & that, not enough to
make a meal for everyone or some dish that did not turnout too well and no one
wants to eat it?. My fridge gets littered with small dabbas and containers
pretty often and using leftovers is a big challenge for me.

Sometimes I myself keep aside a
few things later use and forget about it
