Healthy Lunch Recipe for Weight Loss Meal Plan: Veggie Quinoa Wrap

Veggie wraps may be one of the easiest of healthy lunch recipes to make, but do they taste good?

I felt skeptical too, but love the idea of combining healthy foods like veggies and whole grain, and decided to create my own veggie wrap. Because I'm a fan of Middle Eastern flavors, I used ingredients like hummus and tahini. To balance the strong flavors, I added blander foods like beans and quinoa.

This healthy lunch recipe turned out delicious! And of course, as expected, it was simple to do as well.

If you have a chance, you should absolutely give it a try--and add it to tomorrow's clean eating and weight loss meal plan.

Healthy Lunch Recipe: Veggie Quinoa Wrap

Ingredients:

- Whole wheat tortilla
- 1/2 cup of cooked organic quinoa
- 2 table spoons of hummus
- 1 tea spoon of Tahini
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- Roasted minced garlic and red peppers
- 1 cup of romain leaves
- 1 cup of cooked kale
- 1 lemon wedge (or 1 tea spoon of lemon juice)
- 2 tea spoons of Tamari soy sauce
- 1 table spoon of apple cider vinegar

Directions:

1. Lay tortilla wrap flat on a plate.
2. In a mixing bowl, add all other ingredients, and mix well.
3. Spread mix evenly on tortilla.
4. Roll tortilla into a wrap and cut in half.
5. Enjoy!

There you go.

Healthy, tasty and one of the easiest healthy lunch recipes I've tried. See? Healthy foods don't always taste bad. I hope you enjoy this veggie and quinoa wrap as much as I did.

Healthy Lunch Recipe: Avocado Tomato Open Face Sandwich

A HUGE misconception about the clean eating diet is that clean eating meals, or weight loss foods in general, require fancy, exotic ingredients and complicated steps to make.

In reality, a clean eating diet is simple: use as little processed ingredients as possible, and make quick and easy meals. For these reasons, clean eating has gained much popularity in the last few years. It's simple, tasty and creates a healthy lifestyle. What's not to like?

Clean eating diet can also help you lose weight, because eliminating processed ingredients eliminates refined sugar, hydrogenated oil and all the harsh artificial ingredients that induce weight gain. By simplifying your meals, you reduce unnecessary calories--and most of them develop into fat.

Today's healthy lunch and clean eating recipe reflects just the simplicity that defines clean eating.

With only five ingredients, this juicy, delicious and completely clean sandwich was a pleasure to both make and eat.

Plus, it took less than five minutes to make. We all like that, don't we?

Healthy Lunch: Shrimp Avocado Boat

"Help me lose weight!"

... is probably one of the most common phrases you hear in January. I walked into the gym two weeks ago, and could barely find a free locker.

And traffic for my clean eating and weight loss websites? Shooting off the roof!

While I'm happy everyone's asking for weight loss help, and has health and fitness on their minds...

I must stress that weight loss--and especially doing it through a clean eating diet--isn't a traditional process that deprives of certain food groups and cutting calories. Instead, proper weight loss (through clean eating diet) requires daily eat clean habits and exercise--and continuing both for a life time.

A clean eating diet, despite its ability to help with weight loss, is not a diet but a life style change.

And hence this little website's purpose to provide free daily clean eating and weight loss meal plans, with easy and healthy meal ideas, as well as constant reminders that aid in your weight loss journey.

One of the improvements I'd like to make to the Clean Eating and Meal Plan site, in 2015, is to add more healthy weight loss recipes.

Meal plans are good; links to other sites are great. However, I also feel that providing healthy recipes right here adds variety and therefore improves visitors' overall experience.

Without further a due, here's today's Healthy Lunch Recipe--Shrimp Avocado Boat.

I served this to family and friends during Christmas, and everyone loved it. I think you'll like it too, especially if you're an avocado-lover.

Healthy Lunch: Shrimp Avocado Boat

- 11/2 to 2 cups of cooked shrimp, diced

- 1 dash of sea salt
- 1 dash of fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tea spoon of organic balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup of organ cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tea spoons of dry dill

Directions:

6. In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, yogurt and dill. Mix well.

5 Easy Healthy Lunch Ideas for Clean Eating Diet

A clean eating lunch shouldn't be complicated.

Few people have time during lunch for extravagant meals and clean eating ideas. If you're constantly on-the-go and are looking for a quick bite, then you might appreciate the easy healthy lunch ideas below.

I understand that the suggestions aren't special--and are certainly something you can easily think of yourself. However, when you're too busy to think healthy, you can certainly draw ideas from today's post. Also, the choices are tasty, and we all like that.

I hope you enjoy today's clean eating lunch ideas, and incorporate them into your daily weight loss meal plan.

1. Grilled Egg and Cheese Sandwich

Using whole wheat bread and all-natural cheddar, cook up a regular grilled cheese sandwich, except add eggs in the middle.

This was scrumptious and protein-rich--and certainly quick and easy.

2. Turkey and Cheese Sandwich with Whole Wheat Bread

Isn't turkey and cheese sandwich an all-time favorite? If you want to, add mayo with safflower oil to make this classic sandwich even cleaner.

3. Spinach Ravioli

Nowadays, veggie pasta's sold everywhere. A hearty plate of plump spinach ravioli is always a quick and healthy idea for clean eating.

4. Ground Turkey and Quinoa Stir Fry

Abundant in nutrients such as fiber and vitamins, quinoa has become one of the most popular grains. Because its texture is easily digested, it's also an essential grain for a gluten-free diet.

I like quinoa for its health benefits, but love the way it tastes. It's hearty, wholesome and scrumptious--and can be cooked in so many ways.

Today's ground turkey and quinoa stir fry was an alternative way to make quinoa, but it was delicious. It took little time and tasted awesome. You should absolutely try it!

5. Hard Boiled Eggs with Herbs Over Whole Wheat Toast

If you've little time to prepare a healthy lunch, just top hard boiled egg slices over toasted whole wheat bread. Add flavor with a mixture of dry spices like thyme, pepper and paprika. I promise this was tasty!
